The 1sts watched by a record home league crowd of 19, had to work hard to overcome a physically strong Wark outfit. In a game of few chances, Garnett gradually took control and deserved to take the lead just before time when Danny (Sherwood) slotted home a penalty. Ziggy (Craig Ewart) played in Micky Cave with a clever pass and Micky was bundled over. The Green and Black went two up with a brilliant counter attack. The ball was cleared from the edge of our box to Ziggy who turned quickly to put an inch perfect through ball over their defence. Danny, looking back to his best, raced on to it and smashed in to the top corner. Unfortunately, the 1sts showed a bit of inexperience and let them come back in the game. When they were caught out by a nothing ball and suddenly it was 2-1. They had better of closing stages but Kev (Harty)and the back four all stood up strong for a great 3 points. Ziggy had his best game for the club and Pearce did ok in place of the suspended Mullan. Mullan still managed to get angry and went on the pitch at one stage!
