GOSFORTH GARNETT BOHEMIAN REPORT
Sat 2nd April 2005 Chopwell Top Club 2(0) Gosforth Bohemians Garnett 0 (0)

An unbalanced 1sts disappointed a large travelling support by losing 0-2 away to struggling Chopwell Top Club. On a big and excellent pitch, the 1sts came second best to a more mobile and aggressive home side. There were some positives for the Green and Black. Firstly another strong and sensible performance from Reserve team captain Adam Alexander, who for the second week running demonstrated how much he has improved as a player this season. Secondly a highly impressive 25 minute substitute cameo from Dave Mullan which underlined just how much the team has missed his wide range of talents and the balance he provides this season. Debutant John Paul McDonald looked very good player though short of match fitness, he appears to have the passing ability and physical strength to be the dominant attacking central midfield force that the team has lacked this season.

With thirteen games left and the squad hopefully reaching full strength in the next couple of weeks, there is much to play for on an individual and team basis. Places are up for grabs next season especially with the expected return of Vice Captain Mark Brown and the Cave cousins and continued impressive performances from Reserve team youngsters. As a team it is vital that momentum is established that can be carried on into a promotion campaign next season.
