GARNETT BOHEMIAN 1ST TEAM REPORT
Sat 2nd November 2002 Garnett Bohemian 3 (0) vs. (2) 4 Hexhamshire

"Too knackered after Old Boy weekend to write much." Paddy
(hence comments by me = Roger)

Garnett were below par in first half, Paddy got tactics wrong! Two goals conceded. Logan not tracking again! (Hexhamshire cross from left, over keeper to the back post met by well-timed header) Unfortunate penalty (striker tripping over Cusworth's toes - Roger).

Second half: Green and Black top quality and scored twice early on. Clinical finish from David Alexander after good move and Man of Match Sean Cavanagh nodding in perfectly flighted Logan cross. Continued to dominate but caught on the break for another penalty (Hepburn drawn into 1-on-1 by cunning play) but wonder goal by Alexander put Garnett level again (25 yards bullet into roof of the net). All Green and Black (Hexhamshire keeper effectively insisting on fisting away 3 efforts) but tragically Hexhamshire broke away again to steal the points (rounding unlucky Hepburn in another 1-on-1).
Everybody well pissed off and cannot believe we lost. We are a good side, honest!
Plus points:- we were quality in 2nd half, Fraser Hepburn solid stand in for "hesitant" Blyth Spartans keeper Michael Crammond, we scored more than two for first time this season, David Alexander hopefully learned what happens when you shoot early.

Team: F.Hepburn, J.Almond (R.Watson), P.Curtis, R.Cusworth ©, A.Martin. S.Cavanagh 1 MOM, A.Logan, S.Collins (D.Corcoron), J.Thompson, D.Alexander 2, T.Burke-Murphy
